Our Vision:
The vision of the Founders' were as follows:
- To establish a unique centre of learning which would be accessible and affordable to the children of all sections of Mauritius irrespective of race, colour and creed and where values and knowledge would be shared to build a more cohesive and educated nation fully cognizant of its rights and responsibilities towards the country
- To build an ideal institution and equip it with modern amenities
- To construct a model college on a single school campus
- To establish benchmarks in terms of education standards, work ethos, classroom environment and quality of education
- To introduce a novel approach to fully develop the potential and aptitudes of the child comprising the following objectives:
- learn to know
- learn to do
- learn to be
- learn to live together
- To bring Mauritians of different walks of life, of different communities to study and co-exist together, to know and respect one another, to foster nation building
Our Mission:
- To develop fully the potential and aptitudes of the pupil
- To broaden the intellectual horizon and cultural perspectives of pupils to equip them to become global citizens
- To regularly take various pioneering initiatives to impart to the student a global education
- To consistently broaden its curricula to offer a wider choice to students through the introduction of new subjects targeted to meet a broader spectrum of aptitudes and the exigencies of the work place
- Teachers and non-teaching staff to endorse an exemplary team spirit, strict work ethos and have a sense of dedication and not condone any complacency
- To consistently promote teacher training
- To systematically invest to upgrade its infrastructure and educational facilities
- To uphold discipline
- To allow pupils to improve themselves, to develop attitudes of perseverance, fortitude, team spirit, fair play, respect of the opponent and build self-confidence and self respect
- To instil in all pupils a sense of justice and democratic values and develop principles of equity and equality
- To develop moral values, mutual respect and tolerance towards each religion, each community and each individual in a pluricultural Mauritian society
- To inculcate spiritual values through the introduction of a silent lay prayer in the Morning Assembly
- To inculcate values as courtesy, honesty, respect of elders as well as qualities of humility and solidarity towards the poor
- To develop values of tolerance through interaction with other people through exchange programmes and foster ties of friendship
- To interface with local and international organisations
- To keep abreast of new ideas and developments in the field of education
- To constantly make cogent proposals for improving the quality and structure of education
- To encourage the school stakeholders to take an active part in school activities and school life
- To constantly adapt its mission, goals and objectives to suit the aspirations of the young and address effectively the exigencies of the economy and the community
